The History of Plutonium
A ring of made of Plutonium Plutonium was created by Glenn Seaborg, Edwin Mcmillan, Joseph Kennedy, and Arthur Whol in 1941. They created the element when bombarding Uranium-238 with deuteron particles. Beacause it is made from uranium, it is highly radioactive. Because it is a Synthetically created element, you would not find this in nature. It is created as a Element most of the time. It can be made into 15 different isotopes ranging from 232 - 246, many of which are made into atomic bombs ( Such as the Little boy and Fat man ). Plutonium appears as a silver-gray solid but tarnishes when exposed to air. Atomic structure of Plutonium Plutonium is located in Group 7 of the Actinides (Bottom row of the Periodic Table and all are radioactive solids). in Period VIII (8) Plutonium Is highly Radioactive
